Following the success of our Planewave 17” CDK in Chile, we decided to duplicate the system in our main New Mexico observatory. The PW17 offers long focal length imagers a rare opportunity to explore the southern skies at ~2,940mm focal length.  The CDK design produces a flat field edge-to-edge on its large 16803 CCD. The integration of all the major components results in a reliable, high-performance long focal length system.
